Wilbur Robbins, a top-performing salesman at IBM and then Simplex, founded Acroprint in 1969 in Raleigh, NC. Robbins introduced a time recorder which offered the dealer community a high-quality, low-cost alternative to existing products. The heavy-duty Model 125 employee time clock quickly became known for its durability and its distinctive green color.

Glenn Robbins joined Acroprint after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1973 and became company president in 1986, a position he still holds today. Glenn has led the family business through company expansions, new product development, and entrance into additional supply channels.

Acroprint Time Recorder Company manufactures and distributes worldwide a complete line of employee time clocks, document stamps, and software-based time and attendance systems. We have a network of over 6,000 dealers and office supply outlets in the United States and over 70 other countries.

The company’s iconic green-colored punch clocks are widely recognized throughout the world. Our Model 125 and Model 150 clocks have appeared in movies, on television and in print. They are still manufactured daily on-site at Acroprint headquarters in Raleigh.

Who Is Acroprint

  • April 1, 1969 — Acroprint Time Recorder Company is founded in Raleigh, NC, offering the Model 125 time recorder.
  • 1971 — Model 150 added to the product line up.
  • 1984 — Company moves into its current headquarters on Departure Drive in Raleigh, where we continue to assemble clocks today.
  • 2001 — Acroprint begins offering biometric hardware options to work with existing software.
  • 2005 — Pendulum software introduced to meet the needs of enterprise organizations.
  • 2009 — Major upgrade announced to timeQplus software suite, adding several hardware input options.
  • 2010 — Initial launch of AcroTime Workforce Management, a cloud-based solution offering anytime, anywhere access.
  • 2014 — Acroprint BioTouch clock introduced; combines the security of biometric verification with the familiarity of Excel spreadsheets.
  • 2017 — New ATR480 clock makes the convenience of automatic time card totalizing available at a value price point.
  • 2019 — Acroprint ProPunch launched. Combines the control of on-site software installation with the convenience of web-based access.
