How do I adjust the Model 175 for the Daylight Saving Time Change (DST)?

General Information

Although the 175 is already running on a lithium battery when you receive it, the clock must be plugged in to a steady power source in order to perform any of the following functions.

To program the machine, remove the case to access the five tactile switches, SW5 to SW1, located below the LCD display. Note that pressing and holding these switches will cause the setting options to advance faster.

Setting the DST Start Date

When Daylight Saving Time is set, the clock will automatically advance one hour on the designated starting date and subtract one hour on the ending date.

Press the [SW4:YEAR] key until the current year is displayed. Illustration showing the setting of the starting year for DST
Press the [SW3:HOUR/MONTH] key until the desired start month is displayed. If you are setting the standard U.S. Daylight Saving Time, this should be the month of March. Note: if you do not use the Daylight Saving Time function, set the month value to 00. Illustration showing the setting of the start month for DST
Press the [SW2:MINUTE/DAY] key until the desired start day is displayed. If you are setting standard U.S. Daylight Saving Time, this should be the second Sunday in March of the current year. Illustration showing the setting of the start date for DST

Setting the DST End Date

Setting the Time Manually

Important: if you do not press the [SW1:SET] key a second time, the clock will not print.
