Microsoft Windows Firewall:
Microsoft has included firewall protection on Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7. If you will be installing your timeQplus Server software on any of these operating systems, you will need to grant firewall access to the following applications and services after your installation is complete:
- TimeAttendance.exe – note, you will be prompted to unblock this application after installation is complete, or you can grant access via the firewall.
- File and printer sharing.
- tQp.Service.Server.exe
- TimeAttendanceImportV3
Other Firewalls:
Some firewalls block ports. Authorized applications can be granted access to use specific ports. If you have this type of firewall, you should open the following ports:
- timeQplus Clients: open ports 59183 and 59184
- timeQplus TQ600 terminals: open port 4370
