Can I use Cat5 network cables to connect my ProxTime terminals to my network?

The ATRx10 and ATRx20 Terminals communicate via RS-232 and RS-485, respectively. These units are not capable of communicating via Ethernet.

The only cabling supported for ProxTime terminal communication is the cable provided by Acroprint. The ATRx10 terminal ships with a 50 foot length of cable for RS-232 communication. ATRx20 terminals do not come with cable To connect an ATRx20 terminal to your ATRx10 terminal, RS-485 cable is available from Acroprint.
