My employees’ punches today are going into last week’s pay period. My new pay period won’t start. How do I fix this?

Your pay period has been extended. The clock has been tricked into thinking it is okay to accept punches when it was in a locked-out situation.

We need to remove all the punches from the clock AFTER we print all of your employees hours.

  • Open Time and Attendance.
  • Open Reports.
  • In the top left corner, in the section Report select Hours Summary.
  • Beside Report in the section Employees, select All Employees.
  • Below Employees in the section Pay Period, select Current.
  • In the bottom right corner, in the section Report Output, select Print Manager.
  • Select Print in the top right corner of the window.

Now we need to print the time cards for the current pay period.

  • In the top left corner, in the section Report select Time Cards.
  • Beside Report in the section Employees, select All Employees.
  • Below Employees in the section Pay Period, select Current.
  • In the bottom right corner, in the section Report Output, select Print Manager.
  • Select Print in the top right corner of the window.

Now we need to remove all punches from the clock.

  • Take the Supervisor Badge that came with your system to the clock itself.
  • Swipe the badge. The screen should display Main Menu and Reports will be blinking.
  • Press the blue Menu Up key twice. Now Setup should be blinking.
  • Press the blue Enter key. It will now show Setup, and Max Time On Clock will be blinking.
  • Press the blue Menu Up key twice. The screen will only say Remove All Punches.
  • Press the blue Enter key once to initiate the dump.
  • Press the blue Enter key again to confirm the dump.
  • Press Clear twice to get back to the main Date/Time display.

You will now need to put the punches from the start of the pay period through now back into the system using the punch editor.

Your pay period ending date for the rest of this pay period will still show as last pay period´s ending date but the only data in the clock will be for this pay period.

After the end of this pay period, your pay period ending date will be correct.

In order to keep this from happening again, you should be sure to print your Hours Summary report for the previous pay period at least once during the current pay period.
